Element Soccer School Summer Camp Information Page
Soccer players ages 6-16 are welcome. Players will be divided up into age appropriate groups. Team training also available. Players attending as a team (minimum 8 players) will be assigned a dedicated instructor for the duration of the camp). Players need to bring water, shinguards and a ball.
Make no mistake,it is a Soccer School focusing on the four aspects of the game: Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological training. Each session will begin with an active warm-up to focus on the topic of that session. Next, players will be taught proper technique from the basic biomechanical principles and how to apply the skills to the game. The session will end with a small sided game to reinforce the lesson in a match related situation. The players will learn to play under pressure and in tight spaces which will allow them to have a stronger awareness and make better use of a full size field in a regular match. Aspects of soccer to be covered will include:
- Physical - Speed, strength, agility & power
- Technical - Shooting, passing, heading, volleying, trapping, first touch
- Tactical - Principles of Attack / defense, set plays, team strategy (for groups of players attending as a team, tactical strategies will be emphasized)
- Psychological - Success, failure, injury, self image/esteem
